“Every story is beautiful, but OURS is my favorite”
~ Every Bride Everywhere (I hope)
Hey Sapiens!!
It’s your favorite vertically challenged photographer here, and I want to share with you the absolutely AMAZING and heartfelt union story of Loretta and RC….
Lorette and RC have been together for many years, so you can just imagine the amount of love and worship that filled their wedding day. When I say “many years” I am talking about that through thick and thin, forever be my baby, R&B love song type of love. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the building during their recent nuptials, and I was definitely trying to make sure my camera didn’t get ruined by my own emotional experience. This wedding was definitely one for the books, since it reminded me of why I actually enjoy shooting weddings (all of us have at least one session like this, I swear!).
While the venue was filling with guests, and the hour started getting late, these two were as cool as a cucumber…especially RC. It was as if anything could have happened at any given moment and they would have still been so sure in their love and excited to be together that nothing else in the world even mattered.

Can I just take a moment to say how much this occasion made me fall in love with being in love all over again??? I mean it was magical, and really inspiring.
Loretta was walked down the aisle by her son James, and you could tell that those moments between mother and son were so special and meaningful for the both of them. Here come the tears again….

Okay, I think I’m good….let’s continue….
Trying to keep my emotions in check during this ceremony was more than a difficult task, because there were so many moments of absolute and genuine love and respect that you couldn’t help but get wrapped up in the experience. It truly felt as if we all were watching this real life fairytale come to life right before our eyes. From parents, to children, to grandchildren, cousins, to friends, and even the vendors….we all were more than happy for these two to officially become one.

Their wedding and reception took place at the Mitchell Park Pavilion here in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I think that this wedding had an effect on everything in the universe because the weather was perfect, the grass was the perfect green for portraits, the usual task of “passer byers” was non-existent, and the sky was the perfect shade of blue. The only person who didn’t get the memo about this wedding was the sun, but hey, we made it work because they outshined it anyways! The reception was filled with tons of well wishes from all aspects of the couple’s life, and we couldn’t be happier to be sharing this special day with them. Might I add, the cake was DELICIOUS….we all know my infatuation with wedding cake, so I had to state how good it was. It was pretty too!!! A perfect mesh of red velvet (my favorite), yellow, and chocolate. Oh my goodness, I was tempted to go into a sugar coma guys, seriously….

I really could talk about this couple forever, but I’m just going to go ahead and say CONGRATULATIONS to both Loretta and RC (after 20+ years) and I wish you many many many more years of love and happiness. Something tells me that they will have no problem keeping the love and wonderful spirit of marriage alive for years to come. They are most certainly a couple that I will look up to for the rest of my life.

Wow…the power of love
Much love and encouragement,
Tiny J.
